Professional Development

Professional Development courses at ALIC equip learners with essential leadership and technology skills to excel in modern manufacturing and business environments. Through participation in Your Leadership DNA, students build self-awareness and discover their unique leadership style while practicing real-world strategies for guiding teams, motivating others, and communicating effectively. Interactive activities, peer feedback, and applied projects strengthen confidence and competence, preparing participants to step into supervisory roles and inspire performance with professionalism.

With additional coursework in Organizational Leadership, Effective Financial Management, and Professional Communication upcoming, students will have the opportunity to explore all aspects of the interpersonal, strategic, and fiscal dimensions of leadership. Complementing these soft skills, our Microsoft Excel Series provides progressive, hands-on training in one of the most widely used tools in industry today. Learners move from foundational spreadsheet skills to advanced data analysis, automation, and productivity techniques, tackling tasks like PivotTables, macros, VBA, and multi-source data management.

By completing this series, students will be prepared to step confidently into supervisory or team leadership roles. Whether advancing into a new role or growing into an existing one, Professional Development courses support future manufacturing leaders with the tools they need to influence, inspire, and perform with professionalism.

    Your Leadership DNA is an engaging and interactive entry-level course designed for individuals ready to explore, embrace, and elevate their leadership potential. Whether you’re new to leadership, considering a leadership role, or currently leading without prior formal training, this course provides the foundational tools and self-awareness needed to lead with authenticity and confidence.     Microsoft Excel (Level 1)

    Participants will develop fundamental Excel skills, including setting up spreadsheets, entering and manipulating data, and using AutoFill to save time. They will also learn how to print spreadsheets correctly, create basic formulas and functions, and edit and format data efficiently. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to manage large workbooks and use Excel’s core features to improve productivity. Course Dates TBD

    Microsoft Excel (Level 2)

    Participants will learn to summarize data with PivotTables, clean data using text functions, and automate tasks with logical functions like AND, IF, and OR. The course also covers lookup functions such as VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH, converting data into Excel tables, and adding objects like logos to workbooks. Additionally, participants will explore data protection techniques. By the end, participants will be equipped to handle more advanced tasks and increase productivity in Excel. Course Dates TBD

    Microsoft Excel (Level 3)

    Participants will learn to use data validation, create macros, and apply tools like scenarios and goal seek for "what-if" analysis. The course also covers auditing worksheets, working with external data, and inserting hyperlinks. Participants will learn to manage multiple workbooks, create forms, and get an introduction to Visual Basic for automating tasks. By the end, participants will be proficient in advanced Excel techniques to enhance productivity and data management. Course Dates TBD
