Adam Dunn serves as Director of Programs and Industry Engagement at ALIC @ Bessemer, bringing 27 years of manufacturing, engineering, and leadership experience to the role. With roots in industrial maintenance and machine design, his career expanded into machine building, advanced robotics, automation and systems integration, and SCADA-based systems and data analysis. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from ITT Technical Institute in Youngstown, Ohio.
Throughout his career, Adam has had a passion for developing people alongside technology. He has led internship programs, mentored emerging technical professionals, supported engineering and design capstone projects, and created opportunities for students to experience manufacturing through hands-on, team-based problem solving. He believes some of the most valuable lessons in technical education cannot be learned from a book alone—they come from working with your hands, solving real problems, learning from mistakes, and building something you can be proud of.
At ALIC, Adam brings those experiences together by connecting industry, education, and students. He works with employers, instructors, and community partners to strengthen existing programs, identify emerging training needs, and develop career pathways shaped by the industries they serve. His passion is building an environment where students can develop real technical skills, engage with modern manufacturing technologies, and grow into confident problem-solvers prepared to contribute to the future of industry.
