Clay Dawson blends engineering knowledge with strategic business insight to help bridge the gap between technical execution and big-picture thinking. With a background in aerospace engineering and an MBA from Penn State Behrend, Clay has held a variety of roles including Manufacturing Planning Team Leader, Project Manager, and Engineer at Acutec Precision Aerospace.

Currently with Starn Tool & Manufacturing, Clay works at the intersection of engineering and sales, helping customers translate requirements into efficient manufacturing plans. He brings years of experience in customer engagement, quality systems, and quoting strategies—plus a passion for academic outreach through the National Tooling & Machining Association. Clay’s instructional style is thoughtful, methodical, and rooted in real-world problem-solving.
